Can you add a brake controller to a GMC Canyon?
No problem adding the after market brake controller. Wires for the brake controller are terminated (no connector, flying leads) in the drivers kick panel for the after market brake controllers connections. I think its kind of bad that GM puts a trailer towing package on the trucks then leaves out the brake controller.
Can a REDARC brake controller be installed on a canyon?
Redarc makes a line of products that could easily be installed where the OEM brake controller goes – not sure who else might. Looking to purchase a Canyon All Terrain crew cab long box soon. The one I’m eyeing has the trailer hitch but doesn’t come with a trailer brake. . . . They offered me an aftermarket one mounted somewhere else . . .
