When to do an oil change after 7500 miles?

July 6, 2016, 6:24am #8 In my opinion 7500 miles is a little too long between changes, independent of how many months it has been. This is especialy true if you vehicle sports variable-valve timing. I agree w/the others advice here, now’s a good time to change it out and install a new filter.

Is it too late for the world to run out of oil?

This is just the beginning. It would be prudent to pursue alternative energy sources before it is too late, but the oil corporations will never allow this to happen. So important is oil as a resource that it brings great wealth and power to those who control it.

When is the best time to change my oil?

I have only put on about 3,000 miles since my last oil change which was over a year ago by a few months. I checked the oil and it is still a nice golden yellow color and the oil level is normal. Can I wait until I have at least 7,000 miles on it to change the oil even if it is 1.5-2 years as long as the oil looks clean and the level is good?

When you don’t evaporate all of that water condensation, it turns acidic over time, and leads to deposits of damaging sludge in the engine. All of that being said, I would recommend that you not go longer than one year before you change the oil.

When to change the oil in your car?

I have read that I should change it one year or 7,500 miles. The car has sat in the garage, with occasional light driving by my parents to keep the fluids moving. Anyway, does oil get super dirty after a year? I know that it recommends 1 year, but would I be really stupid to push it another 2-3 months until I am at 7,500 miles? Thanks all! melott
