118000 miles here no rebuild. Second owner got it with 105 and its been growing strong since. You won’t need a rebuild until after 200000 as long as you keep oil full. Just adding another to the list.

Just adding another to the list. It’s a shame that people associate the FD engine’s reliability to be indicative of ALL rotaries (13B-REW if memory serves…); the Renisis is (so far) the most reliable engine of ANY car I’ve ever owned since turning 16.

Drive a 2009-2011 model year. You will be Impressed. Great car if you know what you’re buying. Driving dynamics, reliable if taken care of. Not reliable if you don’t take care of it. I have owned two RX-8s now, and I have loved them both. That being said this car is not for everyone.
