Why is my gear shift light not working?
When on the driver side contact of fuse 10 it lights up fully. On the passenger side contact it gives a dim glow. (What does this mean?) I tried it on fuses 5 and 9 to see what it looks like on a fuse location that appears to be working properly.

Honestly, my 8th generation 2009 Honda Civic’s gear shifter does not line up either. I depend on look at the gear selection light to the right of the tachometer. It does not really bother me as long as it indicates the gear in other places. Last Honda I’ve owned before this one was a 2008 Odyssey. The shifter lined up perfectly fine.

What to do if your dashboard light does not work?
