How to remove the drawer from the center console?
Instead of being able to take the drawer out, you have to go in from the front. Inside the little bin with elastic mesh half-walls, there is an access door you use a flat-head to remove, which gives you access to the void where the drawer would push into. I found two dvd cases in there. Also found the hole for the tire winch, haha.
How to get a drawer out of a B class?
First pic. shows the drawer out…you’ll need a pick of some sort to push the rubber ‘carpet’ out away from a corner and then peel it out. Then you’ll see 2-3 torx screws holding the inner drawer onto the drawer frame. I say 2-3 tree cuz it seems my center one is missing, but maybe the factory just decided you didn’t need all three.
How to open the drawer in the centre?
Try pushing it harder and maybe then putting a firm blade or edge down the side and seeing if it releases some object. If you can open it a bit, maybe you can sweep a wire object into the top tray and release a blocking object (like a tilted pen) in the drawer. (but might be necessary)
Why is there a drawer in the centre of my car?
It might have something jammed inside and/or tilted upwards that stops it from sliding out. One other person here had a coin jammed down the side which effectively stopped it from opening. Try pushing it harder and maybe then putting a firm blade or edge down the side and seeing if it releases some object.
