Yorkville Sound is a privately owned Canadian Company located in Pickering, Ontario, Canada, a suburb of Toronto. Currently employing over 220 people, Yorkville designs and manufactures all of its North American built products including Canadian made amplifiers at the 150,000 square foot Pickering facility.
Is there a way to check a / C amplifier problem?
The A/C shop checked it and it is fine on freon etc. but stated there was an electrical issue that they are unable to diagnose. My conclusion is its an A/C Amplifier Problem? Is there a way to check this out? I don’t have any electronic testers, Is this a dealer or junkyard only part, Autozone, PepBoys or Advanced Auto dont list it.

New Denso compressors can be had o the ebay for <$200, if needed. They are easy to replace and then just have shop vacuum and you can refill. How long does it take to replace an Acadia amplifier?
Went shopping first and bought a 3″, 5″ and 8″ flexible 1/4 drive extensions and two 1/4 swivel drive. I replaced my 2007 Acadia Amp in about three hours with one trip to Sears to purchase an 1/4 drive air ratchet. ($58.00) Took the advice on prying the impossible bolt out of the clip so saved some time and frustration.

What does CCW mean in an AC amplifier?
CCW=higher rpm required to run the AC. The amp gets a signal from the coil, same wire as the tach, that it reads for RPM. Thermister and pressure switch functions are also controlled in the AMP, it all come down to telling the compressor when to run and when to shut off.
