What happens to the battery on the dash cam?
The internal battery is small and only meant to briefly power the dash cam to save video files when you turn your car off.
Why does my car battery shut off after I charge it?
Seems like a vehicle with this much tech would have a battery shut off when voltage drops to a certain point. All the dash warning lights reset on their own after I charge the battery and start it back up. I hate to have to take to a dealer since everything is “fine” after I put battery on the charger and dealer will tell me no problem found.
What to do if your car battery is dead?
If this happens everytime someone has a dead battery, it is a bit ridiculous to HAVE TO go the the dealer each time. My question is…. Does anyone know how to reset the dash lights? I could take it to the dealer, but it’s a 45 min drive for me.
Why did my battery die on my Ram truck?
I am not sure what caused mine. I wasn’t sure if whatever caused the lights killed the battery, or if the dead battery caused the lights. The truck hadn’t even been sitting for 24hrs, so there was no reason for the battery to be dead. Others have suspected that a UConnect update ran over night and hung up, therefore killing the battery.

Shortly thereafter my gauges started to act up and the battery dies again. Turned out it was not the battery all along but the chassis ground right up front next to the battery. Once I cleaned the threads and reassembled all my battery and gauge problems were solved.

Was told by the shop that did repairs on the GT after it was rear ended 3.5 months ago that the battery had just died on them a day before, and that some of the gauges weren’t working. Thought that was strange that the dash was having issues.
If you run across a battery that is so dead it won’t even kick on your battery charger, I discovered a little trick. All you need is a somewhat good battery (one that will kick on your charger) and hook it to the dead battery, then hook up the charger.
Is there a charger for a die hard battery?
Get the best Die Hard there is and forget about it. (there is other posts on the forum that address this, including part #s) There is a special charger for gel cells. They condition the battery as well as charge it. Because this charger is VERY expensive, most people don’t have one, and just use a wet cell charger.
