What to do if your engine is not getting fuel?
If the plug is dry and we have spark, we are not getting fuel. So to check the spark we need to pull the rubber cap off the spark plug and remove the plug from the engine. I am not going to get into plug reading as that will be a seperate article in itself.
What makes an engine not start or run?
All engines require three things to start and run: spark, fuel and compression. If any one of these is missing, your engine will not start. The fuel pump is running and delivering normal pressure to the engine
What causes the fuel pump to not start?
The fuel pump is running and delivering normal pressure to the engine But, with all that working your engine still will not start. So, the most likely cause, is that the fuel injectors are probably not opening. The (PCM) uses the trigger signal from the crankshaft position sensor; and/or camshaft position sensor to pulse the injectors.
What to do if your engine cranks but fails to start?
If either the switch or the computer circuit fails; you may have a hard time starting the engine when cold. Also, for a engine cranks but fails to start problem, consider checking the exhaust system.

Can a car start with no fuel in it?
Once your fuel pump has finally given up the ghost, no fuel will reach your engine. You may hear your spark plugs firing when you try to start your car, but without fuel, the engine won’t be able to turn over. Of course, there could be other explanations for your engine’s failure to start besides a failed fuel pump.

What to do if you don’t get a spark in your engine?
If you don’t get spark, try a new spark plug before you do anything else, even if the plug looks “good” try a new one. If you have spark and the plug was dry, move on to “Fuel” If you have spark and the plug was wet, replace the spark plug and try starting the engine again with the choke off.
How to check the spark on a 2 stroke engine?

Why is the gas not reaching the spark plug?
More powerful mowers, such as ride-along lawn mowers, make use of fuel pumps to pump gas into the engine – instead of the gravity-feeding system that’s common in most push-along mowers. If the filters are clogged, your lawn mower won’t start because gas will not reach the spark plug.
How to troubleshoot a 2 stroke engine with no fuel?
2 Stroke Engine Troubleshooting – Spark But No Fuel. As you read above this is assuming you have checked the basics, you know, gas is on, gas in the tank, choke is on. One quick check you can do is to pull the fuel line off your carburetor, turn the gas on for a second and see if fuel is flowing out the fuel line.
